Pet Bereavement Counselors:
New Mexico

There are literally hundreds of people who are now counseling in pet bereavement, and it is not possible for the APLB to register them all. Some hesitate to be listed in any directory, others are first discovering the benefits of this wonderful service, and many more are still unknown to us. We welcome all new applicants to contact us directly by mail or online at This listing is arranged according to geographical location. We are pleased that every counselor registered here is a member of the APLB.

Over the years I have been a human companion to a number of pets, and have experienced their loss. This has provided incredible insight into the importance of assisting others in their grief. I also successfully completed internship training for chatroom hosts, at the APLB. I have worked in the animal welfare field and have considerable experience working with adults and children who are grieving the loss of a pet. In addition, I have more than 20 years of experience counseling domestic violence survivors, people with disabilities, and many in advocacy programs.
