Degrees in psychology, guidance and counseling. Trained in counseling on death and dying. Extensive experience with pet death. Professional referrals are encouraged if supplemental psychological counseling seems needed. The depth and intensity of the grief over pet loss is far greater than most people realize, and I utilize a client-centered approach, allowing the client to talk freely about this kind of loss.

I have worked in the counseling field for over 20 years and have extensive professional experience in working with people who have a number of life issues, including the loss of pet companions. I employ education as well as individual and group therapy in helping people work through the various stages of grief. I am also trained professionally to provide a variety of spiritual/religious services which may help the mourner commemorate the passing of a pet companion.

I have personal experiences of both the wonderful experience of pet companionship as well as the intense feelings that often occur following the loss of such companionship. I believe that pet companionship is a type of relationship unlike any other and as such engenders a distinct type of grief. I also know personally the healing that can follow in time the loss of a pet companion. I hope that I may be of real help to others to experience such healing.
